Handlebar Coffee Roasters is in downtown Santa Barbara and it's one of my favorite spots. Founded by former professional cyclists who love racing bikes and drinking coffee. The name is a clear reference to handlebars on a road bike. They have an espresso "Milkshake" that's eight bucks, which felt steep, but the quality is there. Santa Barbara has some great coffee and Handlebar is setting the standard.
